Jeísa Chiminazzo (born April 12, 1985) is a Brazilian model.

Personal life

Chiminazzo was born to parents Ernani and Ivone of Italian and German descent. She grew up in Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She has two sisters, Grace (6 years older) and Jéssica (5 years younger). She was discovered in 1998 at the age of 13 by a Brazilian actor who recommended her to a modeling agency.^{[citation needed]}

Career

A year after first appearing on the covers of local magazines, Chiminazzo signed with IMG Models in New York and appeared in Italian editions of Elle and Marie Claire soon after. During her first few years as an international model, she appeared in several fashion campaigns, for designers such as Emanuel Ungaro and Jill Stuart, for which she was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. In July 2005, Chiminazzo mad a breakthrough with a Paris Vogue cover with Isabeli Fontana, photographed by Mario Testino.

Chiminazzo has appeared on the cover of nine international editions of Vogue, including French, Brazilian, Russian, British, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Chiminazzo has been featured in campaigns for Calvin Klein, CK Jeans, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Hermès, Armani, Karl Lagerfield, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Intimissimi, Chanel, Tiffany, Versus, Topshop, Warehouse, Accessorize, DKNY, Ungaro, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Jeans, Nautica, Abercrombie, Victor Hugo, Marella, Paul and Joe, Hogan, Emporio Armani, J Brand, Issa, Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, Jill Stuart, Lacoste, Alexandre Herchovitch, Animale and H&M. She also appeared in the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She was featured in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She has appeared in perfume campaigns for Hermes, CK, and Dior.

Chiminazzo is also considered one of the most successful contemporary runway models and has consistently walked for the world's top fashion designers for fashion weeks in New York, Milan, London, Paris and São Paulo. They include Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Valentino, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Chanel, DKNY, Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Lagerfeld Gallery, D&G, Fendi, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.
