Jelena was born in Narva to a Russian family. In her home town she also went to secondary school and music school. Her parents Ludmilla Juzvik and Boris Parshin both teach different instruments at the Narva Music School.
In 1995, Jelena came to Tallinn to study at Georg Ots Music School where was vocal-coached by Silvi Vrait and Mare Väljataga. She sang in a vocal quintet and has since successfully taken part in three Eurovision Song Contests as a backing singer each time. In 2000, she sang back vocals for the Estonian entry "Once in a Lifetime" while in 2002, when the contest was held in Tallinn, she did the same for Sahlene and Ira Losco, the representatives of Estonia and Malta. At the 2006 contest, held in Athens, Jelena Juzvik took the stage with Sandra Oxenryd who sang "Through My Window" for Estonia.
Jelena Juzvik has released one album as April Frost.
