Jenny Johnson (born June 9, 1982) is an American producer and television host known for producing and cohosting TVDiner and for appearances in Entertainment Reporter for The Only News at 9 and The Morning Show on New England Cable News. She was recently recognized by Boston Magazine as "the next Maria Menounos".[citation needed]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Jenny Johnson is the oldest of three – sister, Hillary and brother Zack. Jenny later moved to Marblehead, MA for High School after her father was incarcerated.

Jenny graduated with honors from The University of New Hampshire in 2004, where she studied Communications and Women's Studies.

Career[edit]

Early Career and XY TV[edit]

Right out of college, Jenny was cast in a reality TV show on XY TV. XY TV, a startup television company based in Boston, featured programming for the X and Y generations. The show The Roomies was filmed in East Boston and based on The Real World.

Charity Work[edit]

Jenny has participated in the Pan Mass Challenge for three years. PMC supports the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund, where she was an honorary board member in 2010. She regularly hosts events for Daner Farber.

Jenny is an active host for charity events throughout the year and has raised thousands of dollars for local and regional non-profits organizations. She sits on the Honorary Board of the Room to Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Newton, MA which creates healing environments for chronically ill children in the Boston area. Jenny is a member of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and Community Servings.
