Jerez Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de Jerez) (IATA: XRY, ICAO: LEJR), also known as La Parra Airport,[2] is an airport located 8 km (5.0 mi) northeast[1] of Jerez de la Frontera in Southern Spain, about 50 mi (80 km) from Sevilla and 28.1 mi (45.2 km) from Cadiz. It is a modern airport with the principal arrivals and departures areas on the ground floor.

Jerez Airport is conveniently located for access to Gibraltar, Cadiz, Tarifa, Seville and the Costa del Sol which is a 90-minute drive away.

Most visitors at the airport arrive from Germany and the UK however around 36% of all arriving passengers at Jerez Airport are on domestic flights.

Ryanair introduced regular flights between Jerez Airport and London which helped increase passenger numbers at the airport to 1.1 million in 2004.

Ground Transportation

There are regular buses to and from the airport to Jerez, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Cádiz. Taxis and car rental companies are available, too.

Jerez Airport train station is situated to the west of the airport, this is the other side of the car parking. The train station only has one of two platforms in use, since the high speed line northbound is still under construction. Consequently, although links to Jerez, Cadiz and Sevilla are available, the frequency of this service is limited to 2 or 3 trains a day.
