Jim White is an Australian drummer now based in Brooklyn, New York. He was born in Clifton Hill, Melbourne, Australia. He is the drummer for the Dirty Three, a band formed in Melbourne, but he has also played with a number of other groups, including:[1]

An October 2007 article in Time Out New York called him "indie rock's drummer of choice", saying, "Those who play with White speak of him with the ardor of religious converts."[2]
