Infante João Carlos of Portugal, Prince of Brazil (or of Braganza; Portuguese pronunciation: [ʒuˈɐ̃w̃ ˈkaɾluʃ]; English: John Charles) (Rio de Janeiro, Colonial Brazil, 6 March 1821 – Rio de Janeiro, Colonial Brazil, 4 February 1822) was a Portuguese infante (prince), son of heir to the throne Pedro, Prince of Brazil (future Emperor Pedro I of Brazil) and Maria Leopoldina of Austria.
