John Edwards (1795–1893) formerly Emanuel Moses, was a boy sailor at the Battle of Trafalgar and is believed to have been the last survivor of that battle.[1]
Edwards was born in London. Settling in Portsmouth after leaving the Royal Navy, he became a city councillor and warden of the synagogue. He remained there until his death.
