John Paul Henson is an American puppeteer best known for his association with The Muppets. He is the son of puppeteers Jane and Jim Henson. He performed Sweetums starting in 1991, although the role has been passed to some different puppeteers (Sweetums no longer has a consistent performer), including Martin P. Robinson, Steve Whitmire, David Rudman, Bill Barretta, Noel MacNeal, Rob Mills and Matt Vogel.
