Johnny Hart (footballer)

John Paul Hart (born 8 June 1928) is an English former football player and manager.
Golborne-born Hart played for Manchester City as an inside-forward in 169 Football League matches, between 1947 and 1960, scoring 67 goals. He succeeded Malcolm Allison as the club's manager for six months - from close to the end of the 1972-1973 season (30 March 1973) until the beginning of the 1973-1974 season (22 October 1973) - before being forced to retire following a pancreatic attack.
His son, Paul, became a centre-half and he has also followed his father into management.
