Jonathan FeBland

Jonathan FeBland (born October 19, 1960) trained at the Royal Academy of Music, London from 1978 to 1982 and has written music in a wide range of different compositional styles, although there is usually some underlying tonality to his work. He has written contemporary serious music, light/educational music, and jazz in a number of different genres. He has also contributed to the genres of New Age and even Pop/Rock.
His work is published by Universal Edition and Sibelius Music. Louis Demetrius Alvanis has just released FeBland's Piano Colours CD on the Meridian label. It was launched on Amazon and iTunes in January, 2009. Deborah de Graaff (clarinet) has also been involved with CD recordings of FeBland's music; some of these are already proving popular with radio stations such as ABC Classic FM (Australia).
Trio B3 Classic (Piano, Clarinet & Cello) have also recently recorded FeBland compositions on a Warner Bros. CD. There are a handful of other CD projects in the pipeline for 2009/2010.
Recent compositions in the jazz idiom have included 12 Jazz Piano Pieces, 3 Jazz Etudes (for Piano) and a dynamic single-movement Jazz Symphony in 33 Grooves.
Since 2005 he has received music premières in Caracas, Sydney, Essen, Berlin, Bonn, Biarritz, Bilbao, Valencia, Lucerne, London and Paris.
