Jungle Man (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Jungle Man" is the first track from The Red Hot Chili Peppers 1985 album, Freaky Styley. Singer Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics because the track reminded him of his best friend, the band's bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary. It was released as a single, with a music video released in the same year. The band couldn't get a proper music video released so manager, Lindy Goetz decided to just piece together many different clips of live performances of the song edited together with the album version of the song playing on top.
Jungle Man has not been performed live since 1988 on the final tour with Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons although on October 19, 2011 the band teased playing it however did not play the entire song.
