The Junior Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference ('JrPYIC) is a conference that allows middle school students to attend the United States presidential inauguration. If a child is nominated by their teacher for the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC), they can be invited back for the JrPYIC.

[edit] 2009 version

On Saturday, January 17, 2009, scholars arrived in Maryland to be a part of the 2009 JrPYIC. They took part in many things, including: speeches by Al Gore, Erik Weinmeyer, and Colin Powell, witnessing Barack Obama and Joe Biden get inaugurated, watching the documentary The Third Monday in October, participating in educational classes, and learning about the President of the United States.
