JustAnswer is a purported online expert question and answer website that connects visitors with verified experts in several categories including medical, legal, automotive, veterinary, and tech support. Created in 2003[1] by CEO Andy Kurtzig, JustAnswer allows paying users to ask a question, create a user account, and receive a verified expert answer, in a time scale ranging from minutes to days depending on the amount the user paid for the service.[2] Users only pay for answers they are satisfied with. JustAnswer has popups and exit page spam which prevents users from leaving the website. JustAnswer may charge users more than stated on their Paypal accounts and might even fail to reimburse non-accepted answers which their website describes as a guaranteed refund. JustAnswer might remove negative comments from its own help forum [4]
JustAnswer has received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau [5] and obtained the TRUSTe Privacy Seal of Approval[6]. JustAnswer is currently rated as one of Quantcast’s top 200 most visited websites on the Internet.[7]

JustAnswer has more than 150 categories and subcategories.[8] Experts on JustAnswer’s site answer questions from 145 countries around the world. Besides the English-language website, www.justanswer.com, JustAnswer is also available in Spanish, Japanese and German.

JustAnswer verifies the credentials and expertise of experts through a multi-step process, which includes:[1]
1. Profile screen. Every Expert has undergone a profile screen of his/her listed licenses, certifications, education, and/or employment to make sure they have the expertise sought.
2. Subject matter test. Every Expert is required to pass an online subject matter test in his or her respective category.
3. Verify credentials. JustAnswer uses a third-party verification service verify the credentials of all Experts on the website (e.g. license, certification, educational degree, or employment history).
4. Ongoing review. Every Expert undergoes ongoing quality reviews by JustAnswer customers, other Experts in their categories, and secret shoppers.
5. Internal metrics. JustAnswer reviews Experts’ performance on the site using internal metrics that it tracks from a variety of sources.
6. Expert Quality Advisory Board. Helps to set the credential requirements for Experts on JustAnswer, review the subject matter tests, and provide feedback on answers from current Experts.
