Just Brakes is the largest privately owned brake specialty repair company in the North America. The company offers automotive products and services to consumers across the southern United States. Just Brakes has been family-owned and operated by two generations of the Cloud family since 1994. The company performs brake repairs on over 340,000 vehicles annually.

[edit] History and Expansion
Just Brakes was founded in 1981 by Lester Neely and Tye Pruitt (deceased) in Bryan, TX. The company was sold in 1991 to local Dallas investors. Perry Cloud and the Cloud family purchased Just Brakes in 1994 and continue to run the business.
Just Brakes began operations in 1994 under the guidance of Perry Cloud with just 12 stores in the Dallas- Fort Worth area. In 1996, business expanded to Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1997, 7 stores in the Phoenix area (previously Bill King’s Brake-O) were purchased. Just Brakes expanded into Austin in 1997 and Houston in 1998, opening 10 stores that year. In 1999, rapid expansion began in Atlanta, North Carolina, and Memphis, with 36 additional stores being purchased in September alone. Just Brakes expanded to Tampa in 2000, and Orlando and Las Vegas in 2003.
Since its inception, Just Brakes has expanded to over 160 stores located in seven states and 13 major markets. Just Brakes now operates in the following markets: DFW, Houston, Austin, Killeen, Lubbock, San Antonio, Tampa/ St. Petersburg, Atlanta, Orlando, Tucson, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, Las Vegas and Albuquerque.
Expansion in San Antonio began in 2007 and also in Tucson, Arizona in 2008.

Installs brake pads and brake shoes and machines and replaces rotors or drums in vehicles. Just Brakes inspects various other brake parts - like calipers, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, brake hoses, and brake lines. Also, the company provides replacement of struts and shocks.
Just Brakes specializes in brake repair and maintenance. Because of this, the company has its own Certified Brake Safety Expert School, as well as a Manager Certification Program. Each "brake safety expert" receives 80-120 hours of training annually.

Just Brakes is a member of the National Council of Better Business Bureaus (BBB),[1] the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA)[2] and the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP).[3]
The AMRA represents businesses in the auto repair industry, ensuring standards for automotive repair are constantly evaluated and updated if necessary to provide consumers with the best possible care.[4] Just Brakes opened membership with the AMRA in 2004. THE AMRA also started the Motorist Assurance Program to strengthen the communications between consumers and the automotive industry. MAP ensures that customers will receive a written statement explaining their repairs based on uniform automotive standards.[5]
Just Brakes has been a member of the BBB since 1994.[6]
