Jared Eng is the founder and editor-in-chief of JustJared.com and JustJaredJr.com. Eng was only allowed to watch 30 minutes of television a week. Once he went to college, he was finally exposed to celebrities such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. His appetite for celebrities and pop culture led him to launch the site as a hobby. The website's name was inspired by a character from the show Will and Grace, Jack McFarland, who had a one-man show, “Just Jack.” Established in 2005, JustJared.com received over 3 million unique visitors a month in 2011.
In 2009, Just Jared was named to Yahoo!'s Top 10 Bloggers Roll (alongside the Huffington Post and TMZ.com) and was previously highlighted by Vanity Fair and InStyle as one of the world's leading entertainment websites.
In May 2011, Just Jared teamed up with Kate Bosworth’s jewelry collection, JewelMint, to raise money for DoSomething.org. Jared Eng became a part of the JewelMint Celebrity Guest Curator Series, which gave 50% of the sales of the “Brixton” earrings to DoSomething.org
