KPTQ is a progressive talk radio outlet. The station served as the Spokane, Washington affiliate of Air America Radio until Air America's demise in January 2010. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications.

The station was originally known as KUDY and had a religious format until 2002 when it swapped signals with 590, with the latter's adult standards format occupying the 1280 signal. In 2005 it dropped the adult standards format for its current format.

- 6 am - 9 am: The Stephanie Miller Show (live)
- 9 am - noon: The Ed Schultz Show (live)
- noon - 3 pm: The Thom Hartmann (Three hour delay)
- 3 pm - 6 pm: The Randi Rhodes Show (Three hour delay)
- 6 pm - 9 pm: The Mike Malloy Show (live)
- 9 pm - midnight: The Leslie Marshall Show (five hour delay)
