Kadiam or Kadiyam is a village and mandal headquarters, near Dowlaiswaram in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a major flower nursery centre in Andhra Pradesh.

Geography[edit]

Kadiyam is located at 16°55′00″N 81°50′00″E / 16.9167°N 81.8333°E / 16.9167; 81.8333.[1] It has an average elevation of 8 meters (29 feet).

Features[edit]

  • Kadiyam is a major flower nursery centre in Andhra Pradesh. There are about 600 nurseries in this village and more than 25,000 were gaining employment directly or indirectly due to them.
  • One more large powerplant is built by GMR industries and went online in 2005.
  • A Paper mill is also there in this major Panchayat.
  • Three movie theatres are there in this village.
  • With a population of 30,000 people with in this Village. Located 10 km away from the Rajahmundry Corporation.
  • In Andhra Pradesh state, Kadiam stands next only to Khairathabad (In Hyd) for its bigger assembly constituency.
