Princess Kako of Akishino (佳子内親王 Kako Naishinnō?, born 29 December 1994), the second daughter of Prince Akishino (Fumihito) and Princess Akishino (Kiko), is a member of the Imperial House of Japan.[1] She is the second-born granddaughter of reigning emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.

Princess Kako is currently a first-year student at Gakushuin Girls' High School in Tokyo. Princess Kako is talented in figure skating,[2] and the art of sewing.[3] In 2007, She represented Meijijingu Gaien Figure Skating Club (明治神宮外苑FSC ) and joined the Spring Cup Figure Skating Competition held by Japan Skating Federation. Princess Kako ranked top in Shinjuku division (Female Group B - Primary School Year Six or above).[4]

Princess Kako will be moving to Ireland to study English at Trinity College, Dublin.

Princess Kako has one older sister, Princess Mako, and a younger brother, Prince Hisahito.
