Kangarli or Kengerli (Azeri: Kəngərli) is the newest rayon of Azerbaijan, in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The area is 682 square km, and the population is 25,379 (2004). It was split off from Sharur rayon in March 2004. The administrative center of the rayon is Givrakh.

On 25 May 2004, President Ilham Aliyev appointed Nazim Cafarov as the executive head of the rayon.[1]

The name Kangarli was originally applied to a Turkic tribe who founded a regional Kangarli Khanate that ruled the area from a capital at Maku in what is now Iran.
