K-126 is a mostly east–west state highway in southeastern Kansas. Its eastern terminus is the Missouri State Line east of Pittsburg where it continues as Route 126. Its western terminus is at U.S. Route 400 just south of McCune. Between Pittsburg and US 400 this road was the original alignment for U.S. Highway 160.

[edit] Route description

The route begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 400 and heads northward. Passing the small town of McCune, K-126 turns abruptly to the east after several intersections with local roads. K-126 then intersects K-7, known as 150th Street. Passing through mixed farmland and woods, K-126 heads into the city of Pittsburgh, intersecting U.S. Route 69 and U.S. Route 160. Heading into central Pittsburg, K-126 intesects U.S. Route 69 Business before exiting the town, now known as 4th Street. The highway dips southeast slightly before crossing the Missouri state line. The road continues as Missouri Route 126 and heads toward Springfield.[2]

[edit] Major intersections

The entire route is located in Crawford County, Kansas.
