The 2010 Kansas gubernatorial election was held on November 2, 2010. Incumbent Democratic Governor Mark Parkinson, who assumed office upon Kathleen Sebelius' resignation following her appointment as President Barack Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services in January 2009, did not seek a full term. Republican U.S. Senator Sam Brownback, defeated Democrat state Senator Tom Holland, and will now serve a four-year term from 2011 to 2015. Ken Cannon (Reform Party), and Andrew Gray (Libertarian) ran as minor party candidates in the election.

- Andrew Gray, Kansas citizen. The Libertarian Party of Kansas held its primary at the party's state convention in April 2010. Of four challengers, Gray won the primary and chose Stacey Davis as his running mate.[9] Gray and his running mate are not only striving to become the first Libertarian Governor of Kansas, but to create a third major political party in Kansas and have full access to the political process.[11]
