Karl Gomes is a marketing communications and advertising professional specializing in Digital marketing, New Media, Social media and Web 2.0, taught advertising professionals, set up New Media divisions at various Advertising agencies and spearheaded creative teams. Karl has been awarded at Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, Webby Awards, The One Club, New York Festivals, Asia Pacific Adfest, Abby and AAAI.[1] Karl has also served on the Cannes Cyber Lions jury[2] at Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, ADFEST Cyber Lotus Jury,[3] Asia Interactive Awards Jury, Abby Awards Jury and the Yahoo Uncannies Jury.

Karl Gomes along with Ex Neo@ Ogilvy Prasanth Mohanachandran have launched a digital shop Agency-Digi. They believed no one was really solving problems in the digital space, They are now looking to push for ideas that are integrated with digital at its core.”   Previously as  National Creative Director, Digital at Rediffusion YR, Karl created an environment to engage brands in online and offline conversations. Prior to this at Arc Worldwide / Leo Burnett he was Executive Creative Director – Digital with a mandate to leverage Web 2.0 and new media across big campaignable ideas. At Tribal DDB India, as National Creative Director, he successfully created brand demand leveraging the online space.

Karl has won numerous awards at Cannes, Webby, One Show, New York Festivals, Asia Pacific Adfest, Abby and AAAI, including the 1st Indian Cyber Shortlist at Cannes 2006 for Timesjobs, the 1st Indian Webby award for a simple and intuitive multilingual portal for Life Insurance Corporation of India, the 1st Bronze Cyber Lion at Cannes 2008 and India’s first Silver Pencil at the One Show Interactive 2009 for an Online campaign “highlighting what's important” for Luxor Highlighters.
