Katja Shchekina (Russian: Катя Щëкина, Romanized Katya Shchokina) (b. May 18, 1986[1]) is a Russian model.

Katja Shchekina was born in Perm, Russia to a Russian mother with a Komi-Permyak heritage and a Russian father.[2] Because of her exotic looks, she is sometimes mistaken as being from the new wave of Brazilian models.[3] In October 2011 Katja denounced any speculation of Somalian heritage on her blog.[2]
Shchekina has appeared in Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris and Harpers Bazaar,[3] and has been featured on the cover of L'Officiel (France & Russia). In addition, she has done advertisements for Dolce & Gabbana, Adidas, Juicy Couture, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman. She has also walked the runway for many top designers such as Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, La Perla, Oscar de la Renta, and Stella McCartney, as well as Victoria's Secret.
