Kimitoön (Finnish: Kemiönsaari) is a municipality of Finland. It was created on January 1, 2009, when the municipalities of Dragsfjärd, Kimito and Västanfjärd were consolidated into a single municipality.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality has a population of 7,165 (31 January 2012)[2] and covers an area of 2,800.87 square kilometres (1,081.42 sq mi) of which 2,113.94 km2 (816.20 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 10.43 inhabitants per square kilometre (27.0 /sq mi).

The municipality is bilingual with majority speaking Swedish and minority Finnish as their native language.
