Ken Bairden

Kenneth Bairden (1943–2007) was a parasitologist, epidemiologist and veterinary scientist based at Glasgow University Veterinary Hospital (GUVH). He had over 97 publications in scientific journals. Having started as a member of the technical staff, he obtained a PhD and transferred to the academic staff, finishing his career as a research fellow.

His main areas of expertise was ruminant helminth control and epidemiology. He has been influential in worming control in veterinary medicine.
