Alex R. Kennedy Metropolitan Middle School is an alternative public school in Louisville, Kentucky. Students are referred to this school after exhibiting behavioral problems at their previous schools. Built in 1955, it was formerly an elementary school for grades 1 to 6 named after the former land owner, Alexander Russell Kennedy. The elementary school closed about 1980 and the building was not used until the Metro School opened.
