Kensington Junior School, is a Junior school in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. It is a mixed school of Non Denominational religion. as of 2005 232 students were recorded as attending this school. It was opened in 1886. On 1 December 2006, the school was awarded with the 'National Healthy School Status Award'.

Being a primary school, the variety of lessons is limited with most concentration on maths and English. Basic science, music, history and R.E. are also taught on different days. Trips to historical places happen regularly, as well as show-and-tells (during year 6).
