Kent Ridge MRT Station (CC24) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Circle Line in Singapore. It is operated by SMRT Corporation.
The station will be served by three exit and entry points, though only two opened initially. The third exit, which will be connected to the basement of the upcoming NUH Medical Centre, will open when the medical centre is completed in 2012. [2]
Located next to the National University Hospital, it serves the hospital as well as the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Science Park. It serves the southeast portion of Dover as well.
Under the Art in Transit programme, a multimedia work entitled Poetry Mix-Up was commissioned for the station. Created by Mixed Reality Lab from the National University of Singapore, this interactive piece allows members of the public to SMS a line of up to 60 characters to the program, and it will generate a short poem based on the submission to be shown on a digital display on the lift shaft at the platform level.[3]
