Kenter Canyon is located north of Sunset Boulevard in Brentwood and is primarily based on Kenter Avenue (which becomes Bundy Drive south of Sunset). It was partially burned, like many of Brentwood's canyons, in the brush fire of December 1961; that large fire helped spur the passage of brush-clearance laws in the county.
Crestwood Hills, Los Angeles, California, Tumbleweed Camp and Mount St. Mary's College are nearby.
Notable alumni from this elementary school include Willa Holland.
