Khurma is a sweet in Bihar which serves a snack in some households. Khurma is made of paneer (chhena) and sugar, and it can be stored for about two to three months. It is a popular sweet in the eastern part of Bihar (Shahabad region).
Khurma is also used for prasad in many festivals and Pooja. Jyutia and Chhat is one of the most popular festivals where Khurma acts as important an ingredient for prasad.
