Jam graduated as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Political Science.

Kia Jam is the President and Producer at K. Jam Media, the hub of an entertainment group with interests in production, distribution, post production and acquisition. He recently completed post production on the motion picture Father of Invention starring Kevin Spacey, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, Virginia Madsen, and Camilla Belle. In 2008, Mr. Jam produced Nailed directed by David O. Russell (Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster) starring Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Marsden, Tracey Morgan, and Catherine Keener, $5 A Day (starring Christopher Walken, Sharon Stone, and Amanda Peet) and Black Water Transit (starring Laurence Fishburne, Karl Urban, and Stephen Dorff). He is also involved in the fundraising and alignment of strategic partners for KJAM MEDIA and clients. Prior to launching KJAM MEDIA, Mr. Jam was a principal founder at Ascendant Pictures, and independent film production and finance company passed in Beverly Hills. Along with its subsidiary companies (Rising Star), Ascendant Pictures co-financed eighteen movies for over $750 million in a five year period. Mr. Jam has served in a producing capacity on all of Ascendant Pictures’ projects including Lucky Number Sleven (starring Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, and Morgan Freeman), and The Big White (starring Robin Williams and Holly Hunter). Along with Tom Cruise, he co-produced Ask the Dusk (starring Colin Farrel, Salma Hayek) and co-produced The Jacket (starring Adrien Brody and Keira Knightly) alongside George Clooney. In 2006 along with Barrie Osborne (Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Matrix), Mr. Jam executive produced the sci-fi action adventure Outlander (starring Jim Caviezel and Ron Perlman) in partnership with The Weinstein Company. He also produced Who's Your Caddy and Timber Falls. Prior to Ascendant, he was President of KJAM Productions, an independent film production company based in Santa Monica, California. In 2002, Mr. Jam produced Juwanna Mann for Morgan Creek and Warner Bros. He also produced Dungeons & Dragons with Joel Silver (The Matrix, Lethal Weapon) for New Line Cinema starring Jeremy Irons and Marlon Wayans. Prior to producing features, Mr. Jam was recruited by James Cameron’s visual effects powerhouse Digital Domain where he was involved in all levels of production on over 60 television commercials, including a Clio Award-winning Jeep Commercial and David Fincher’s Grammy Award-winning Rolling Stones music video for “Love is Strong”. Mr. Jam graduated as a member of The Golden Key International Honor Society from the University of California Irvine with a degree in Political Science. Mr. Jam has served as a consultant for companies such as MIRAMAX during and subsequent to its divestiture from The Walt Disney Company.
