Kiabonyoru primary is an educational establishment in the Nyamira District of Kenya. Primary education is the first phase of the Kenyan education system. It starts at six years of age and runs for eight years.[1]:3 The curriculum has been designed to provide a more functional and practical education to cater for the needs of children who finish their education or wish to continue with secondary education.
Kiabonyoru primary school is a public school depending on the government for operational expenses. The government provides teachers and meets their salaries. Government expenditure on school supplies and equipment are minimal. In addition responsibility for the construction and maintenance of schools and staff housing is shouldered by the parents. The school does not have a library or any technological laboratories.[2]
