Kilowatt is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California.^[1] It is located on the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Southern Pacific Railroad) 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Buttonwillow,^[2] at an elevation of 279 feet (85 m).^[1]
