King Looey was MGM Grand child friendly version of Leo the Lion, their mascot. He along with his friends appeared on a limited number of coins that were placed in various slot machines all around the casino when it first opened up. They came in two colors gold and silver, you could collect them all. King Looey was an icon for the MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park and King Looey merchandise was sold every where there. After the closing of the park King Looey and friends weren’t really needed any more and are not used today.
King Looey wore a black tuxedo with a red bow and a golden crown. He is a brown lion who always has a smile on his face.
