Kingmaker, Kingbreaker is a series of adult fantasy novels by Australian author Karen Miller about the lives of an unlikely fisherman and a prince. Kingmaker, Kingbreaker follows the life of Asher and his friend Prince Gar.

In this first series by Karen Miller, a young fisherman, Asher of Restharven, goes off on his own to make money and ends up in the service of Prince Gar.
In The Innocent Mage Asher of Restharven wishes to own his own boat so that he may get away from his seven brothers and spend time with his father. He goes seeking fortune in Dorana and ends up in service of the young Prince Gar. Unknown to the both of them a secret organization called the Circle is watching Asher, for he is the one foretold in the prophecy to save the kingdom.
Innocence Lost (The Awakened Mage) has the royal family dead. King Gar has taken over the painful job of the WeatherWorker and Asher is given new responsibilities. Unfortunately the pain of death is not over as the evil Morg lurks in the shadows.
