Kita-Ōmiya Station is served by the 62.7 km Tobu Noda Line from Ōmiya in Saitama Prefecture to Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture. Located between Ōmiya and Ōmiya-kōen, it is 1.2 km from the line's starting point at Ōmiya.
The station consists of an island platform serving two tracks.

The station opened on 12 April 1930.
From 17 March 2012, station numbering was introduced on all Tobu lines, with Kita-Ōmiya Station becoming "TD-02".
In fiscal 2011, the station was used by an average of 5,668 passengers daily.
