Kosaka (小坂町 Kosaka-machi?) is a town located in Kazuno District, Akita, Japan.

As of 2011, the town has an estimated population of 6,046 and a density of 29.9 persons per km². The total area is 178.00 km².

Kosaka currently has the oldest operating, traditional Kabuki theatre. The Korakukan Theatre was made of all wood in 1910. This theatre is stylized as a 17th century American building meets 15th century Japanese architecture. The theatre can currently seat a few hundred with only traditional Japanese seating inside (everyone sits on a pillow in the floor). This theatre unfortunately is not handicapped accessible and is a traditional Japanese venue which requires one to take off his/her shoes upon entering. There are tours available of the theatre and there is a 'meet and greet' with the cast after the show. The kirakukan theatre was designated as an Important Cultural Property in 2002.
