Kristopher Tate (born May 1, 1988 in Washington), is the founder and chief technologist of the Zooomr website and BlueBridge, a company that works on metadata enhanced communication technologies.[citation needed]
Kristopher is best known for creating and operating a popular photo sharing website called Zooomr[1][2] and also for his influence in the Japanese Web industry through his company BlueBridge.[3] Multiple books and magazines articles[4][5] have been written about him including Jon Swartz's Young Wealth: Trade Secrets from Teens Who Are Changing American Business[6]
Born in Seattle, Washington, Kristopher started working with HTML at age 4, programming in Think-C at age 5 and started Zooomr at age 17. [7][8] Because of Kristopher's involvement in entrepreneurship from an early age, he has been featured as a role-model for young entrepreneurs and aspiring teenagers. [9]
In August, 2007, Kristopher moved Zooomr's HQ to Harajuku, Japan and has since brought on a team of dedicated people to help him with his projects.[10][11] On June 9, 2009, Kristopher launched[12] Japan's first ever society-based community website called keireki.jp, which features many notable CEOs as members including the CEO of Mixi[13] and the CEO of Paperboy&co.[14], among others. Membership to the service is invite only.[15]
