Kundagannada or Kundapura Kannada[1] is a dialect of Kannada[2] Spoken in Kundapura Taluk of Udupi district, Karnataka.[1] Some people who speak this language claim that the Kundapura Kannada is the original and chaste Kannada that has not been influenced by any other language.[1]

It is also called as Kota Kannada which is spoken by Kota brahmins of Karnataka.

People from Brahmavar in south till Shiroor in north (across the Arabian sea), and till Siddapur and Hebri in the east speak this language.[3]
