Kunnathur (Malayalam: കുന്നത്തൂര് Kunnattūr) is a Taluk in Kollam district, Kerala State, India. The capital of Kunnathur Taluk is Sasthamcottah, a famous place due to a fresh water lake and its a tourist attraction too. There is a village with the same name in this Taluk and The Kunnathur village is a small village with its head quarters at Nediyavila. It includes the places like Manampuzha, Puthanampalam, Iverkala, Panampthoppu, Nediyavila, Ezhammile(7th stone) etc. are certain places in this village.
Kunnathur assembly constituency (SC) is part of Mavelikkara (Lok Sabha constituency). to famous Three temples 1..nediyavila devi temple & 2..kokkamkavu durga devi temple 3..Karimpinpuzha Siva temple & Malanada karna temple. 4.The River kallada only flows towards east besides at Kokkamkave Durga Devi Temple 5.The landmark ends east at the bridge Kunnathur. 6.puthanampalam temple 7.Changanacherry Smaraka Grandhasala(Iverkala) is the first library started in this Taluk.
