The Air Force–Hawaii football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Air Force Falcons football team of the Air Force Academy and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football of the University of Hawaii. The trophy is named after Air Force General Laurence S. Kuter, who was appointed the first head of the Pacific Air Forces Command (located at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu) in 1957.[1][2][3][4] The Kuter Trophy is awarded to the winner of the game. The two teams have met 19 times on the football field, with Air Force leading the series 12–6–1.
