Qarut (Armenian: Քարուտ; formerly, Kyurut Armenian: Քյուրուտ, also Romanized as K’yurut, Qyurut, and Kiurut; earlier, Kahurt) is a village and former rural community, now part of the community of Geghi, Syunik Province, Armenia. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population as 8 at the 2001 census.[1]
