L. E. Leone is a journalist, author, and writer of the weekly Cheap Eats column for the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Her food writing is notable for often talking much more about subjects such as baseball, chicken farming, and her personal life than about the restaurant being reviewed. Leone also performs on the steel drum as "Sister Exister". She was a founding member of the now-defunct band Ed's Redeeming Qualities.
