Lijiang Sanyi Airport (simplified Chinese: 丽江三义机场; traditional Chinese: 麗江三義機場; pinyin: Lìjiāng Sānyì Jīchǎng) (IATA: LJG, ICAO: ZPLJ) is an airport serving Lijiang, Yunnan province, China. [2]
Built in 1995, the civil airport is 25 km (16 mi) to the south of the city proper.

It was formerly a military airfield during World War II for allied aircraft to land after carrying out missions during the Second Sino-Japanese War (part of the Pacific War)[citation needed]. Over the years it has expanded little and still remains a small airport[citation needed].

The airport has one runway which is 3,000 metres (9,843 ft) in length,[2] with turning bases at ends of runway.
