LUNO is a Czech rock band founded in 2009 and consisting of Ema Brabcová, Martin "Šmity" Chmátal, Jan "Honza" Janečka, and Martin "Marty" Starý.

History[edit]

LUNO was formed in 2009 by singer Ema Brabcová (Khoiba) and bassist Martin "Šmity" Chmátal (the Prostitutes[1]), who had both played in the band Roe-Deer since 1999. They were joined by guitarist Martin "Marty" Starý and drummer Jan "Honza" Janečka.[2]

LUNO's eponymous debut album was released at the end of 2010.[3] In January 2012, it was chosen by the web music magazine Musicserver as the ninth best Czech album of 2011.[4]

In 2011, the group released the EP Litato.[5][6] They issued their second studio album, Zeroth, in 2012, followed by the EP Lifecycles, in 2014. Their latest album, Close to Silence, came out in 2015.
