La Pocatière is a town in the Kamouraska Regional County Municipality within the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec.

A Bombardier plant which manufactures subway and railway cars is located there. Educational institutions include the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière and the Cégep de La Pocatière. A Quebec government facility, the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire, is also found in La Pocatière. Adding to this, 3 public schools : École Sacré-Coeur, École Polyvalente La Pocatière and Éducation des adultes.

La Pocatière is also home to the Musée François-Pilote, a museum of Québécois ethnology. The museum's displays include the history of agricultural education in the region, historic room and business displays, bird and wildlife dioramas, and other items of local history.

Near the city are small isolated hills known as monadnocks. The Montagne du College-de-Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière rises 119 metres at its summit.
