Lafayette High School, located in Wildwood, Missouri, United States is a secondary school in the Rockwood School District.

Lafayette High School opened September 7, 1960,[1] in one small building in Ellisville.[2] To handle the growing student body, the school moved in 1989 to Wildwood.[3] The old school site became Crestview Middle School.

Lafayette's colors are black and white, often accented with gold.

The largest of LHS' extra-curricular activities is Key Club. Others include Student Council, National Honor Society, Latin Club, Spanish Club, French Club (Le Cercle Français), German Club, JROTC, Mu Alpha Theta, Film Appreciation Society, Ultimate Frisbee Club, Photography Club, C-520, OSEP, Robotics, Computer Club, Earth Club, FBLA, Scholar Quiz Bowl, Black Student Union, Speech and Debate, Diversity Alliance, FCCLA, Anime Club, Science Olympiad, Table Tennis Club, and LFA.

The school's marching band, the Lafayette Lancer Regiment, often plays at all home football games, in the Lafayette Homecoming Parade, and hosts its own competition, Contest of Champions. The band consistently places well in the Greater St. Louis Marching Band competition at the Edward Jones Dome, winning its division in 2006, placing first in the Blue Division in 2007 and 2008, and taking first place in the Red Division in 2009, and placing first in their division in 2010.[citation needed]

The monthly student newspaper, The Image, has run since 1965.[4] The school's print yearbook, The Legend, is in its 48th year of publication. Since 2006, the staff has included a DVD supplement, which was named a National Pacemaker Finalist for Interactive Yearbook in its first year.[5] Its 2007 DVD received a National Pacemaker Award on April 19, 2008.[6]
