The Hirzkar Lake can be found south of the "Hohen Krippenstein" in Upper Austria. Although it is a mountain lake, it can be reached easily by a nearby cable car.
The lake water is considered appropriate for drinking and is inviting for bathing in summer. Around the lake are rare plants such as cowslips and the carnivorous sundew.
