Lakeview Junior High School, also commonly called Lakeview is a junior high school located in Downers Grove, Illinois. Lakeview serves students in 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade, who live in Downers Grove, Illinois, Woodridge, and Darien. Sixth grade is considered junior high in Lakeview unlike most other junior highs. Lakeview is part of Center Cass School District 66. Lakeview now uses semesters, (after they acquired a new superintendent, Mr Tim Arnold,) unlike trimesters, which they used to use.

Lakeview was built in 1975. When Lakeview opened in February 1975 it was supposed to have a modern look with no windows and yellow corrugated panneIng on the top half of the building on the outside. Lakeview was built in the open classroom style that was popular for schools built in the 1970s. Open classroom ment that it was a big room with folding walls so that 2 or more classrooms walls can be opened to make one big room. Originally, Lakeview had one big room which was the library and classrooms were separated from the library with accordion walls. During the 2004 remodel of Lakeview, walls were added, as well as a second gymnasium and updated, larger science labs. During the summer of 2005, Lakeview went through a remodeling, in which a second gymnasium was added, and a new science wing was added to the building to enlargen lab space.
