Lasam is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 36,646 people in 6,634 households.[1]

Lasam was created in 1950 from the barrios of Gattaran, Cagayan west of the Cagayan River.[2]
